This was a tough shoot. I waited three years for everything to align. Heintzleman ridge is my favorite overlook of the Mendenhall Glacier. The hike up the trail takes two plus hours and climbs over 2,500 feet. I shot this photo in October and what looks like a lake in the bottom of the photo is really a large pond.
