https://youtu.be/A6-pPg7CeJ8I have spent more than eight months of time photographing Glacier Bay over the years and it holds a special place in my heart. Glacier Bay National Park is the star in New York this Earth Day. I have spent more than eight months of time in Glacier Bay over the years and it holds a special place in my heart. It is a wild land of silence and glacial thunder. I am happy to be making a cameo appearance in this video to help bring awareness to this Marine Heritage Site. Celebrate Glacier Bay today with UNESCO and Jaeger-LeCoultre.

“Off and Running” - In my view puffins are probably the world’s most popular bird. These seabirds have to get a running start across the water before lifting off. The row of splashes behind the birds are left by their feet pounding the water. This image will be one of the featured photos in an exhibition of my work in Glacier Bay at the Jaeger-LeCoultre Boutique on Madison Ave in New York City. Last summer, I shot still images for UNESCO while they were on location to shoot a short ...

Rie Munoz, Alaskan artist and great neighbor, died on Monday, April 6. This is one of my many favorite images of Rie, shot on the front porch of her beloved cabin in Tenakee Springs (population of 134). She was a wonderful Starr Hill neighbor and friend who was always willing to come out for a photo shoot. Probably, my most favorite image of Rie is posted on my Facebook. Go take a look. How we will miss Rie.

Camp Denali has invited me to lead the Autumn Nature Photography Workshop in 2016 and one spot has already been taken, wow! While the photography should be great, the food will be divine! The lodge provides a 24/7 view of the mountain, as long as the weather cooperates. I shot this image of photographers photographing Denali and Wonder Lake while leading the 2014 workshop. Check out the 2016 Special Emphasis Series at Camp Denali in Denali National Park. See you at Camp Denali. Thank you ...

I am one lucky guy! Last week Denali National Park Service issued me a professional photographer’s pass for this summer to travel the park road to capture more photos like this one. I photographed this caribou on the park road last August while conducting a photo seminar at Camp Denali. Unlike mountain goats and Dall sheep, which grow horns that the animals live with their whole life, caribou grow antlers and shed them each year- only to grow another set the next year. Caribou antlers are ...
