Today is Monday, December 21, and the day of the winter solstice. Juneau will receive about 6 hours and 22 minutes of daylight. It is the shortest day of year. The weather service forecasted overcast skies for yesterday. This was just fine with me because we have been so busy at the office. The pullout off Glacier Highway at Inspiration Point above Tee Harbor has to be one of Juneauites’ favorite spots to watch the sunset as it sets over Favorite Channel and the Chilkat Mountain Range.
