A mountain goat pauses on the cliffs of Gloomy Knob in Glacier Bay NationalPark. I photographed this animal from a boat. I ended up shooting this photo with an80mm. This photo illustrates page 20 in the Alaska 2004 Engagement Calendarthat features one of my photos for every week of ...

In addition to hosting huge populations of wildife, including bears, deer and eagles, the fall forest surrounding the Admiralty Island Wilderness Homestead lodge provides a bounty of berries, edible mushrooms, and rivers plugged with salmon. This Chicken of the Woods is just one of the several edible mushrooms, that we discovered on a short walk into the old growth forest. Camera: Nikon F5, 20-35mm f/2.8 Nikkor, Film: 35mm Fuji Velvia.-Mark Kelley
