Cool cover shots-Whale cover photo of 2002 Glacier Bay Cruiseline – Image 2225

I shot the photo of the kayakers with the whales about eight years ago. When I shot this photo I thought I had a really hot shot that would sell and sell. It sat unpublished for about five years, and then clients started buying it. After 20 years of selling images, I still do not understand the markets and how they work. I shot this photo with a Nikon F4 on Fuji 50 slide film with a Nikor 80-200mm f/2.8 zoom lens.-Mark Kelley

I shot the photo with a Nikon F4 using a bounced strobe into the ceiling with a Nikor 20-35 f/2.8 zoom lens on Fuji Velvia film. Cho Cho was a good friend.-Mark Kelley

Three of the last five photos for this site came from that four-plus hour shoot. The clouds had returned by noon. Technical stuff: Nikon F5 camera, 35 to 70mm f/2.8 polarized lens, and Fuji ...

Cow Moose, Denali National Park, Alaska – Image 2222

The road running through Denali National Park is a great place to view wildlife. I shot this moose from my car window on our summer vacation in the park a year ago. She hung along the side of the road for 5 minutes then crossed in front of our car. I shot the photo using a Nikon F5 with an 80-200mm f/2.8 lens on Fuji Velvia slide film.-Mark Kelley
