I shot this photo of a Wings of Alaska plane from a chase plane in a late evening sun during the month of April. The Juneau Ice Field consists of of approximately 1,500 square miles (the size of Rhode Island) of ice, snow, and rock. The area produces over 30 glaciers, including the famous Mendenhall Glacier.
