White Pass Railroad, Skagway, Alaska – Image 2572

I try to put a photo of the White Pass Railroad in each of my Southeast Alaska calendars. It is kind of a challenge to me. There have been 15 Southeast Alaska Calendars and there have been 15 different images of the train. I shot this photo from a helicopter as the train crossed the border between Canada and the USA. Helicopters rent for over $1,550.00 per hour so these aerial shoots are very expensive. This image illustrates the month of September in my Southeast Alaska 2009 Calendar.Nikon F5, Lens: 20-35mm f/2.8 Nikkor polarized , Film 35mm Velvia slide film-Mark Kelley
