Wedding at Photo Point, Mendenhall Glacier, Alaska – Image 2623

I have not shot a wedding for pay since Governor Hammond asked me to photograph his daughter’s wedding in the mid-80’s over 20 years ago. I usually always say no but this wedding seemed different enough to say yes to, in a moment of weakness. The couple was from Australia and family and friends were arriving from across the country and globe. After the ceremony, the wedding party went to Photo Point at the Mendenhall Glacier for the standard family shots. I was able to capture this unrehearsed and unstaged moment of spontaneity as the bride jumped into the groom’s arms after posing for the standard couple shot. Enjoy the photo and thanks for visiting.
