Visitors to the Taku Glacier Lodge, south of Juneau, usually arrive by float plane. Built in 1923 on the Taku River as a hunting/fishing lodge, today the lodge is a popular flight-seeing and salmon bake destination for the cruise ship passengers touring the Alaska’s Inside Passage.
