Seventeen inches of snow fell in the first four days of January 2009 in Juneau after a December that accumulated over 32 inches of snow (12 inches above average) and had an average temperature of 23 degrees (6 degrees colder than the normal December). This photo was shot at sunrise in January between 9:30am and 10am. As a photographer I cherish the rare day in Juneau that clears the day after a fresh snow dump.
