Shrimp, Glacier Bay National Park, Alaska – Image 2722

Spending months in Glacier Bay while shooting the book on the national park allowed for some down time to fish, crab and shrimp. We supplemented our food storages most often with halibut and crab. This images works much like the image #2720. I set-up the photo with the rope pattern as the background image and then broke the pattern with a contrasting color element. The circular pattern of the shrimp pot rope frames the subject of the shoot, the hands holding the shrimp catch. This image appears in my photo book on the park: “Glacier Bay National Park: Alaska.” Enjoy the photo and thanks for visiting. Once again as a reminder, I will be leading a small boat photo cruise in Glacier Bay National Park this coming summer with Dolphin Charters (www.dolphincharters.com), July 6-12, 2011. Come join me for a week-long cruise in the bay exploring Alaska. Camera body: Nikon F5, Lens: Nikkor 20-35mm f/2.8 Film: 35mm Velvia, ASA 50, digitally scanned© Mark Kelley
