My favorite place to photograph sea otters is in Sitka. Allen Marine Tours has a Sitka Sound tour that looks for sea otters. Not all trips get views like this, but every once in a while one gets lucky. There were 30 to 40 animals in this group. This experience made me think of Sitka Sound as the Serengeti Plain for sea otters.
