I have ranged far a field to bring you this photo of sandhill cranes at Creamer’s field in Fairbanks, Alaska. Creamer’s Field is an old Fairbank’s dairy farm that has been turned into a bird sanctuary for birds traveling north in the spring and south in the fall. The state plants the fields for the birds. In Southeast Alaska, the cranes pass through the Gustavus area on their annual migration. This photo is available as a print (print number P-140) with sizes and prices explained in my website store. Camera: Nikon F/5, Lens: 500mm f/4, Film 35mm Velvia slide film.-Mark Kelley
