Salmonberries, Granite Creek, Alaska – Image 2585

Salmonberries are my favorite trailside hiking snack. They are loaded with water and do not hold up well in a bucket when picked-so I eat as I go. I usually never set up a photo, but I noticed this green moss pad and stream at my feet while picking salmonberries. I knew the color splash of the berries across the green moss wrapped in flowing water would work well.
