An October rainbow frames the heart of Juneau’s downtown. Juneau is Alaska’s capital and the state’s third largest city with a population of a little over 30,000 people. Rainy days charactererize autumn weathe in Juneau. October is the wettest month of the year, averaging 7 to 8 inches of precipitation.
