Pink salmon return to Gastineau Salmon Hatchery at Salmon Creek. Pink salmon eggs are taken in the summer, raised at the hatchery and then released. The salmon are harvested when they return in two years. I took the photo through the glass viewing window in the fish ladder leading up to the hatchery collection tanks.
