Paintbrush, Alaska – Image 2413

I photographed this field of paintbrush in 1980 along the Alsek River in Glacier Bay National Park. In all my years of traveling in the wilderness since then, I have not found a field to rival this spot. I keep hoping to get back this spot and spend several days during the peak of the season. But, it is costly and really hard to access. One day I will go. Camera: Olympus OM-1, Lens: 135mm f/2.8, Film: 35mm Kodachrome (35mm color slide film).Copyright Mark Kelley
