Out the Road, Juneau, Alaska – Image 2804

Juneau is divided up into seven major regions: Downtown, Thane, Douglas, Douglas Island, the Valley, North Douglas and Out the Road. Out the Road starts just past Auke Bay around mile 12 and goes to the end of the road, Echo Cove at mile 40. The views of the mountains and Lynn Canal around Eagle Beach around mile 36 should rate this drive on the top of the national scenic road system. But, it does even get a listing. It is amazing how common the extraordinary is to us when we live here every day. I kind of see it as my job to remind people of the extraordinary nature of our home. This image illustrates the month of March in my 2013 Juneau Alaska Calendar. Enjoy the photo and thanks for visiting.
