Northern Lights, Juneau, Alaska – Image 2612

I miss the northern lights. I used to be able to photograph the nothern lights at least a couple times each fall/winter/spring season. But, the last time I saw the northern lights was over a year ago in March. During that display, I took this photo of them over downtown Juneau. Basically, Juneauites have gone a year without seeing the northern lights. The scientists tell us the lights are in some sort of 10 to 13 year cycle and we are at the bottom of the cycle and should not expect to see much activity for a while….what a shame. I miss them. Enjoy the photo and thanks for visiting. Nikon D200, Lens: 35-70mm f/2.8 Nikkor, digital capture-Mark Kelley
