Mt. McKinley reflecting in Wonder Lake, Denali National Park, Alaska – Image 2061

I spent five days in Denali National Park near Wonder Lake renting a small cabin from Camp Denali. It rained constantly for the first four days. If I had been tent camping, I would probably have given up. The fifth day dawned robin egg blue. I started shooting at 5am and stopped around 9:30am. Three of the last five photos for this site came from that four-plus hour shoot. The clouds had returned by noon. Technical stuff: Nikon F5 camera, 35 to 70mm f/2.8 polarized lens, and Fuji Velvia film.-Mark Kelley
