Southeast Alaska had experienced an incredibly warm, sunny week in earlyNovember of 1998. I hopped on a plane in Juneau and flew to Yakutat. FromYakutat, I chartered a plane with balloon tires to land me on the beach toshoot this scene. I stayed the day, bagged this scene, and got picked upright before nightfall.
