Mendenhall Glacier, Juneau Ice Field, Alaska – Image 2611

You probably think this is a continuation of the winter photos made so easy by Juneau’s snowy winter. Actually I shot this dog mushing photo on the Mendenhall Glacier in the summer. There is a great shore excursion available in Juneau where the cruise ship passengers or for that matter independent travelers get a helicopter tour of the ice field, land on the glacier and then go dog mushing. How cool is that? Enjoy the photo and thanks for visiting. Nikon F5, Lens: 35-70mm f/2.8 Nikkor, exposure setting unknown, polarized, Fuji Velvia 35mm slide film-Mark Kelley
