Mendenhall Glacier is one of Alaska’s most popular tourist attractions with over 350,000 visitors per year. Located just 13 miles from downtown Juneau, the Mendenhall is a favorite among Juneauites and is commonly referred to as our backyard glacier. The lone man walks the sidewalk to the visitor’s center.
