King Salmon Catch, Juneau, Alaska – Image 2275

This is one of my personal favorites and one of my most commercially successful photos. It is one of my favorites because it is of my wife. She caught both these 22-pound king salmon. We were trying to figure out a new way of showing the usual grip and grin with one’s catch. She really loved her fish so she decided to hug her catch. It was slimmy and fun. This photo illustrates page 44 in my book, Juneau Portrait II. Camera: Nikon F4, Lens: 80-200mm f/2.8 Nikkor, Film: 35mm Fuji 50-Mark Kelley
