Killer whales surface with the Eagle Glacier in distant view. They are regular vistors to the waters surrounding Juneau. Killer whales usually travel in pods containing 3 to 40 animals. These pods of whales are much like wolf packs and travel in family groups covering vast areas within their range. This photo illustrates the month of April in my 2006 Juneau Alaska Calendar.
