Kayakers and Whale – Image 2005

I spent four days with Alaska Discovery clients during their Icy Strait marine mammal trip. It rained the entire time. I spent my time under an umbrella in the small boat trying to line up kayakers and whale tails. I shot lots of film but had very few successes. I used a Nikon F4 with a 300mm f/4 lens and Velvia film pushed one-stop to ASA 100. This photo can be found in my book on Juneau, Alaska called Juneau Portrait II. Thank you.-Mark Kelley
