The fields of fireweed around Juneau in mid-July to mid-August are stunning. Most people including myself shoot the fireweed in front of the Mendenhall Glacier at Brotherhood Bridge Park. I wanted to find a different location emphasizing Alaska lush green and tremendous mountain scenery.
