A climber claws his way up the face of the Mendenhall Glacier with Mount Stroller White in the background. Since the glacier can calve from its front edge or face, climbing a glacier face is not a recommended practice. I just happened to be at the glacier when the climber was ascending. I would have never asked anyone to climb the face, but took advantage of a found situation which made a really cool photo.
