The city of Haines is located at the head of Lynn Canal about 70 miles north of Juneau. Fort Seward and Chilkat Mountains provides the backdrop for Haines harbor. Fort Seward was built as any Army post in 1903 and was named a National Historic Site in 1972. I shot this photo with a Nikon F5 using a polarized 35-70mm F/2.8 lens with Velvia film.-Mark Kelley
