Float Plane at Auke Lake, Juneau, Alaska – Image 2118

Auke Lake commands a stunning view of the mountains of the Mendenhall Glacier. A float plane is beached close to the Chapel by the Lake and the campus of the University of Alaska Southeast. This photo was shot with a Nikon f/5 camera body and a Nikor polarized 20-35mm lens on Velvia film. The scene is featured as the month of August in my 2002 Juneau, Alaska calendar.-Mark Kelley
