Fairweather Range and Pacific Ocean surf – Image 2022

The view from Dry Bay encompasses the Alsek Glacier in the far left to Mount Fairweather on the far right all located in Glacier Bay National Park. Mt. Faireather towers over the park at 15,320 feet and is only 15 miles from the coast, rising abruptly from the Pacific Ocean at an average of 1,000 feet per mile. I shot the photo on Velvia film with a Nikon F/5 camera and a 20-35mm F/28 zoom lens with a polarizing filter.-Mark Kelley
