Eaglecrest Ski Area, Sundance, Juneau, Alaska – Image 2545

Eaglecrest Ski Area had a great season last year. There is a website that monitors ski snow bases around the world and ranks the ski areas with the deepest snow. Eaglecrest spent most of the winter with the deepest snow base in the world. Last year, Juneau broke its own record for snowfall with about 18 feet (approximately 6 meters) falling at the airport. I shot this photo on a deep powder day on Sundance. I hope for a repeat season with snow by the ton. This image illustrates the month of February in my 2008 Juneau Alaska Calendar.
