Eaglecrest Ski Area, Juneau, Alaska – Image 2850

Oct 1, 2013 | 0 comments

I love living in a town were the local ski area, Eaglecrest, is only 12 miles from my home. The mountain features 640 acres of skiable terrain accessed by four chairlifts featuring 1,500 feet of vertical drop. It also helps to have two sons who are really good skiers, love to perform for the camera, and still are willing to ski with their old man. This photo is of Owen ripping up a piece of virgin powder surrounded by ice-encased spruce trees. The lesson of this photo is to have talented models and to shoot the good light. The image illustrates the month of February in my Juneau 2014 Calendar. Thank you for visiting. Camera body:D700, Lens:Nikkor 70-200mm, ISO 100 , polarized, Digital Capture© Mark Kelley
