Black Bear, Pink Salmon, Anan Creek, Alaska – Image 2767

I am continuing with bear photos for the next week. Here, a black bear squats on a rock and enjoys its pink salmon meal. What works in this photo for me is the anthropomorphizing of this animal. This bear has the look of someone taking a break from a really satisfying meal that we all can relate to. There is some built in humanity and humor in the look on the bear’s face.
