Steller’s Jay, Juneau, Alaska – Image 2438

Oct 1, 2013

I photographed this jay at my friend Nick’s house. He has a bird feeding regime that attracts all sorts of birds year round. This jay is waiting in a spruce tree for Nick to cover his deck handrails with sunflower seeds. Steller’s jays are some of the few birds that stay in the area during the winter. This photo is available as a print (print number P-135) with sizes and prices explained in my website store. Camera: Nikon F/5, Lens: 500mm f/4, Film 35mm Velvia slide film-Mark Kelley
