Nature’s Best Magazine 2013 Winner – Image 2857

Feb 12, 2014

I am deeply honored to be one of fifteen winners in the 2013 Windland Smith Rice International Awards Competition by Nature’s Best Photography, a quarterly magazine. The competition is one of the most prestigious nature photography contests in the United States and the world. More than 24,000 images from photographers from 50 countries were entered in the 2013 contest. This image taken in Yosemite National Park at Vernal Falls and that I call “Rainbowed” won the Outdoor Adventure Category and is shown in the 2013 Fall/Winter Special Collector’s Edition of Nature’s Best Photography that came out in early January 2014. The winning images and a selection of Highly Honored photos will also be displayed as large-format prints in the annual exhibit at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History in Washington, DC. I plan to attend the gala opening at the Smithsonian in November 2014. Thank you for visiting. © Mark Kelley
