Mendenhall Glacier & Lake, Juneau, AK #3412

Oct 7, 2021

Last Saturday the Juneau area experienced wind gusts up to 70 miles per hour and an atmospheric river that dumped so much water on us, I felt like we were getting washed down the drain. Then Monday showed up calm, clear and breathless. The contrast between nature’s wrecking ball and nature’s peaceful serenity was stark and I never tire of the beauty of the Mendenhall Glacier and Lake. I shot this image in the late afternoon on Tuesday. Thank you for the gift of your time. Enjoy – Camera: #Nikon #D850, Lens: # Nikkor 24-70mm, Digital Capture, Hand-Held, ©Mark Kelley
