Lupine, Mendenhall Glacier, Juneau, Alaska #3092

Feb 13, 2019

This photo is of lupine growing along the walking ramp that leads from the parking lot to the Mendenhall Glacier visitor center in Juneau, Alaska. January and February are typically very busy with deadlines as we get our publishing projects out to press. While looking for images for the reprint of the Mendenhall Glacier book, I found this gem that almost got away. It is a little bizarre to show you a shot that screams of summer in the middle of the cold Alaska winter, but I couldn’t resist sharing this nugget that I mined from my 80,000 plus image bank. Thank you for visiting, enjoy. Camera: Nikon D800, Lens: Nikkor 24-70mm, Digital Capture, Tripod ©Mark Kelley
