Killer Whales, Point Retreat, Juneau, Alaska #3072

I photographed this pod of killer whales on the last day of a four-day photo workshop I organized with Ralph Lee Hopkins as a fundraiser for the foundation, “Whale Trust Maui.” We spent the last hour of our trip surrounded by killer whales with glaciers and Point Retreat lighthouse in the background. We had such luck on this trip with three days of bubble-net feeding humpback whales, two days of killer whales, and one day hanging out in Tracy Arm and South Sawyer Glacier.
