Killer Whale Pod, Inside Passage, Alaska #3064

Jul 5, 2018

A family of resident killer whales swim together on the back side of Admiralty Island up Lynn Canal. The large male in the pod slaps his tail on the water as the family dives in unison. Killer whales are highly social and live in matrilineal family groups (pods) their entire lives.

Thank you for visiting. Enjoy.
