Folks usually go to Anan Creek to photograph bears but on my last trip I really got into watching two juvenile ravens that were creating a ruckus. I find ravens incredibly hard to photograph. Every time I turn my camera to shoot they fly off. Of course the raven is an especially important and culturally significant bird for Southeast Alaskans. I was very happy to capture this image of a raven steeped in the lush old growth forest surrounding Anan and not in a suburban parking lot. Thank you to the Brenda, John, Nancy and the rest of the crew from Alaska Charters and Adventures in Wrangell. Thank you for visiting.
