An Indian paintbrush flower stands out against a blurred field of blue lupine. I love using my long telephoto lenses to isolate flowers by intentionally putting the background out of focus to give the image a painterly feel. Glacier Bay is often thought of as a frigid land of snow and ice and cold blue waters. I like to present Glacier Bay as a place full of color, flowers, and life.
