Icebergs, Tracy Arm, Alaska #3058

May 30, 2018

I was cruising in Tracy Arm-Fords Terror Wilderness on an incredibly sunny day in early May with Alaskan Dream Cruises, aboard the Chichagof Dream, and found this interesting iceberg. I am not sure why but every once in a while icebergs will appear slightly green. My theory is that the strong backlighting on the thinning ice causes the unique color. In this photo I especially like the contrast of the different colors of glacier ice, from white to blue to green. Additionally, I love the presence of a wildlife accent in a scenic image. The flying birds add such an interesting dimension to this image.

Thank you for visiting.
