Ice Caves, Mendenhall Glacier, Juneau, Alaska #3046

Feb 23, 2018

I have some70,000 digital images on my computer and I have been editing like a madman to cut that number in half. During this massive edit I am discovering images that I have overlooked in the past, and some will be included in my upcoming Fireside Chat presentation at the Mendenhall Glacier on Friday, March 2. I am calling the show “Alaska’s Wild Wonders.” I have been traveling extensively throughout the state these past five years and plan to show images from the Pribilofs, Glacier Bay National Park, and Denali National Park, along with other highlights. This image taken underneath the Mendenhall Glacier is one I just rediscovered. The Mendenhall ice caves are famous now, but they have appeared and disappeared for a long time. I hope to see you at the show.
