Harbor Seal, Tracy Arm, South Sawyer Glacier, Alaska #3343

Nov 10, 2022

I love going to the South Sawyer Glacier basin in Tracy Arm to photograph harbor seals. The basin is one of the most productive seal pupping areas in Alaska’s Inside passage. During pupping season, from May through June, there are way too many seals in the basin to count. With that many animals in one place I can always count on a great moment to photograph of the animals doing something new and fun, like… seal yoga! This image illustrates the month of July in the 2023 Juneau calendar.
