Grizzly Bear, Denali National Park, Alaska – #2971

Aug 25, 2016

I am the lucky guy that got to spend the first week of August in Denali National Park, and now I get to go back again for the last week of this month. I am returning as the photo leader for Camp Denali’s annual fall photo seminar. The highlight this time of year is the autumn tundra colors, plus wildlife in its prime preparing for the rut and the approaching winter. During my first trip this summer, I shot this photo of a grizzly bear climbing up a hill.  I like this photo because the image is more about the country the bear lives in than just a beautiful mug shot of a very majestic animal, see image #2969 which I love also. Which do you prefer? Enjoy the photo. Thanks for visiting. Camera: Nikon D800,  Lens: Nikkor 80-400mm F/4.5-5.6, ISO 2000, f/5.6 at 1/500, hand held, digital capture ©Mark Kelley
