Juneau autumns, especially during the month of October, can be really wet, stormy and kind of miserable. The past couple years I have been taking the ferry from Juneau up to Haines or Skagway. From these two border towns I can drive the dry sunny roads of the Yukon Territory and British Columbia in Canada, searching for a rush of fall colors.
