Eagle Beach, Juneau, Alaska Image #3055

May 9, 2018

Summer has finally arrived in Juneau, Alaska, and it feels like we have totally skipped spring. In the past two days we have had sunny short-sleeve weather. On Monday temperatures reached 65 degrees Fahrenheit and on Tuesday soared above 70 degrees. Clouds and rain are predicted for the next couple of days and the clouds started moving in last night. I was getting panicky because I had not had any luck in producing a good photo. In spite of the impending doom and gloom I headed out to my go-to place for sunsets, Eagle Beach, with little hope. A break in the clouds over the Chilkat Mountains provided this incredible sunset. The morale of this story is: Always go in search of your next photo.

Thank you for visiting, Mark
