Cunard MS Queen Elizabeth, Hubbard Glacier, AK #3107

Jul 17, 2019

Check it out! This summer we were contacted by Cunard’s corporate office in England to conduct a destination photo shoot of the MS Queen Elizabeth as it kicked off its inaugural season in Alaska. I spent about four weeks chasing the Queen Elizabeth around the Inside Passage waiting for the best weather conditions. We were able to complete the shoot before seriously hazy conditions arrived caused by wildfires in Alaska and Canada. I photographed the Queen Elizabeth in Juneau, at Icy Strait Point in Hoonah, and as she visited the Hubbard Glacier. Images from the shoot are already appearing online, and I am excited to see this image used as a banner at cunard.com. Thanks for visiting – Camera: Nikon D850, Lens: Nikkor 24-70mm ©Mark Kelley
