Bull Moose, Denali National Park, Alaska #3437

In the Juneau area where I live moose sightings are very rare. When I travel to Denali National Park, I usually find a moose to model for me. I photographed this massive bull moose as he played hide and seek with me in the thick willow bushes. Moose can be quite aggressive and dangerous, so I used a very long lens (600mm) to keep my distance. This image illustrates the month of August in the 2023 Alaska Calendar.
